On 3 June from 19.00, Agent Green celebrated the Gala Curaj. Held for the first time, the event took place at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest and honoured 10 people who have shown courage, consistency and resilience through their actions in different fields, each of them a pillar of a healthy society.
The fields covered were art, education, culture, human rights, ethnic groups’ rights, journalism, health, justice, civic activism, and environmental and animal rights.
Agent Green also celebrated 15 years of uninterrupted work in environmental protection and nature conservation through advocacy programmes and legislative changes, disclosures and environmental investigations, and education, awareness and public engagement. The event was hosted by Amalia Enache of PRO TV alongside Gabriel Păun, founder of Agent Green and initiator of the Gala Curaj. The honorary awards consisted of musical performances by the Violoncellissimo Ensemble and a work by artist Dan Perjovschi, both dedicated to each honouree. More than 600 people confirmed their attendance.
