Priest builds a monastery and cabin in Valea Sâmbetei in the Făgăraș Mountains

Făgăraș Mountains. Valea Sâmbetei – September 2022.

A priest is building himself a monastery and a residence deep in the mountains. He is destroying an entire ecosystem in his path, including the river and the forest cut through by a new access road. The authorities are powerless in the face of the priest and tolerate the works in this protected natural area. If the priest can do it, why couldn’t anyone build something in the middle of nature? Next will come asphalt, rubbish, the fairground atmosphere, etc. Didn’t we already have enough monasteries in Romania? Aren’t there enough cleaner and more direct ways to get closer to God? But do we still have authorities in Romania? Authorities that watch over the country’s sustainable development, rather than its systematic destruction.
