Environmental education from kindergarten to high school
Education changes everything
For more than 15 years, we have fought to protect nature in Romania: documenting environmental crimes, stopping illegal logging and helping save old-growth forests.
But we understood one essential thing: without education, there is no real change.
That is why we created the educational programme I AM NATURE — to build a generation that understands, respects and protects nature.

The programme’s story
The programme was made possible by funding from Animals International, the global arm of Animals Australia.
When the funding ended, we hoped to continue with support from Romania’s community.
Unfortunately, we could not raise the funds needed to continue the programme nationwide.
It is a difficult moment — for us, but above all for education.
We wanted to take the programme further: print the educational textbooks, distribute them in bookshops and reach as many children as possible.
But we did not let this project disappear. We decided to publish free of charge all materials as PDFs, accessible to children, parents and teachers.
Why it matters
Romania does not lack resources. It lacks education.
A lack of education leads to bad decisions. Bad decisions lead to nature’s destruction. What we see today — deforestation, pollution, indifference — is the result of a generation that was not taught to understand nature.
